Kathryn A. Pasis

Kathryn Pasis, 79, of Taneytown, Maryland, passed from this life on August 12, 2025 at Lorien Assisted Living under the care of Bridging Life Hospice. She was born on February 10, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Bernard Pasis. She was survived by her children Christina Jones (Bill), Robert David Schott (Helen), Becki Lanser (Jeff) and Vikki Lampkin. She was Grandmom/Gramcracker to Ashley, Cassidy (Ryan), Kelsey (Jimmy), Amber (Victoria), Anthony, Kayla, Makala, Cassia, Tyler (Katie), and Kristen. She has seven great grandchildren Hazel, Millie, Peyton, Tatum, Ralphie, Alice and Arthur. She is survived by her brother Donald Shaw. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Claire Shaw.

Kathy loved spending time with her family and friends and was cherished by all that knew her. She had a joyful, kind and loving spirit and was known to have a quick wit about her. She had many hobbies which included being an avid reader, gardening, baking, crafting, ceramics and over the last decade was dedicated to crocheting scarves for veterans. She had a love of country music and the oldies. Kathy and her late husband Bernie were involved with Marriage Encounter for over 40 years which created many lifelong friendships. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters. She will be missed everyday.

The family will host a graveside service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20906, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 10am.
