LeRoy Black, III Obituary

Roy was the beloved husband of Katherine Black for 56 years. He is survived by his children Michelle A. Black, David M. Black, and Daniella, David’s partner, as well as his granddaughters Madi, Elena and Anna Black. Born on April 29, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late LeRoy W. Black, Jr. and Audrey Ruth Neukom. Roy was a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and the University of Maryland.

Roy enjoyed helping and supporting his family and church. He liked automobiles, both antique and modern. He could tell the make and model of any car you spotted on the roadway. He was also a model Railroad Enthusiast and he loved boating on the Chesapeake Bay. His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16.

Roy worked for twenty-eight years with the C & P Telephone Company of Maryland. Five of those years he spent working at Bell Labs in New York while living in Morristown, New Jersey. He also worked as a New Car Prep Manager with Heritage Auto in Alexandria, Virginia until 2005.
