Lesley (Janet) Harriman, 80, of Ellicott City passed away at John’s Hopkins Hospital on June 17th,  2021. She was born on September 29th, 1940 in Oxford, England to Ruby (nee’ Collins) and  Lesley Florey. Janet was the beloved wife of Colonel Craig E. Harriman, devoted mother of Dale  Harriman (Dahlia), Lisa Dean (Jim), and Scott Harriman (Diana), loving Nana of her  grandchildren Ashley, Brady, Christopher, Keenan, Gavin, and Abigail, as well as two great  grandchildren Levi and Alexandria.

Jan grew up in Oxfordshire, England and met Craig Harriman at a dance on an RAF base where  he was stationed, in January 1962. They married a year and half later, had their first son, and  moved to New York. They had their daughter 3 years later and moved back to England to get  care for their son, Dale, who was diagnosed with leukemia. He was cured and Janet has given  donations to the Leukemia Society ever since.

She was a devoted Air Force wife and took all the moves in stride as she did with most things.  Throughout her life, Jan was nurturing woman. She ran a successful in-home daycare and loved  the kids as if they were her own children. She was especially proud of finally becoming an  American Citizen on June 18th, 2016 surrounded by most of her family.

Jan loved her sheltie, Hannah, and cat, Bella as well as all the other pets in her life. She also  loved flowers, animals, gardening, was an avid reader, absolutely adored babies and children.  She remained active, positive, kind and in good health throughout most of her years.
