Louann Maimone Obituary

Louann Maimone, loving wife of David Spring, devoted mother of Stephanie Spring-Jones and Samuel Spring, caring sister of Patrice Benton, Judy D’Abrosi and Joseph Maimone, and dedicated grandmother of Cyrus Jones passed away unexpectedly Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025.

She was born August 19, 1958 to parents Jacob and Elsie Maimone in Dubois, PA. The family moved to Bowie, MD in 1962 where she grew up. She attended Bowie HS and graduated in 1976. She then attended the University of Maryland in College Park and graduated with a degree in Business in 1980. In 1984 she began her career working at the National Security Agency (NSA) in Fort Meade, MD. She spent 38 years working at the NSA and retired in March 2022. In 1985 she and David Spring were married and they just recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

Louann was an avid reader who enjoyed gardening, travel and spending time with friends and family. She was an active member of the Howard County Autism Society and dedicated herself to helping and advocating for her son Samuel who was diagnosed with autism at age 3. She became a grandmother in 2023 with the birth of Cyrus Jones who she adored and dearly loved. She will be missed.
