Louis Goodmuth, Jr. Obituary

Louis W Goodmuth Jr. passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 11, 2021.  He was 90.

His loving wife Violet V. “Jean” Goodmuth predeceased him in 2018.   They were very happily married for 64 years !

He is survived by his three children Louis W. Goodmuth, III of MD and Denise A. Waszak (Mike) of TX and Diane E. Worley (Bob) of MD, his brother Jim McDermott (Joy) of MD and sister-in-law Pat Gosselin (Paul) of VA.  Other siblings include Louise Bronakoski, Raymond Goodmuth, Marcella Hilgartner, Rose Murphy, and Steve Goodmuth.  He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Chris Waszak (Shannon) of VA and Brandon Waszak (Kathryn) of AR.

Lou proudly served in the Korean war in the U.S. Army, 25th Division, 27th Infantry Regiment (“Wolfhounds”), Tank Company.   He subsequently worked for BG&E for 37 years as a trouble dispatcher.   He enjoyed traveling to many states, and loved tinkering with house projects, working in the yard and spending time with his family.   And as family and neighbors can attest, he would give you the shirt off his back.
