Lucia Limbach, 82, of Columbia, Maryland, formerly of Delaware and New Jersey, passed away on July 21, 2025, following a long illness.
Born in Neptune, New Jersey, on November 3, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Victoria (Privitera) Innacelli. Lucia was a graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School and earned her nursing degree from St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing in Manhattan in 1963.
A devoted nurse and healthcare leader, Lucia began her career in the ICU at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ. She later specialized in geriatrics, serving as Director of Nursing at Leisure Chateau in Lakewood and Regency Park in Hazlet. She retired as Corporate Clinical Director overseeing three nursing facilities.
Lucia was a woman of strong will, deep compassion, and boundless creativity. She was known for her elegant sense of style, her love of reading—particularly history and mystery novels—and her passion for travel, music, and the arts. She approached life with fierce independence and passed along her work ethic and resilience to her sons.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Hill (Michael Anne) of Haddonfield, NJ, and Dr. Matthew Hill (Tracy) of Ellicott City, MD; and four grandchildren: Ryan and Rachel Hill, both of Texas, and Sarah and Samuel Hill, both of Ellicott City. She is also survived by her sister, Maria Mullevey (James) of Middletown, NJ; her sister-in-law, Rosalie Innacelli of Raleigh, NC; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Limbach; her brother, Guido Innacelli; and her nephew, Christopher Innacelli.
