It is with great sadness that the family of Madeleine Kwi-Cha Kang (“Kwi-Cha”) announces her passing after a long illness, on July 20, 2018, just about two months before her 79th birthday. Kwi-Cha will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Steve and her children, Susan (Roy) Wisniewski, Christyna (Brian) Moon, Ho-Seung (Sung-Ran), Jin-Ho (Sukhi) and Heather (Tim) Dull. Kwi-Cha will be fondly remembered by her nine grandchildren, Austine, Alex, Justin, Phillip, Steve Jr., Michael, Sarah, Caroline and Timothy Luke. She is also survived by her sisters Yong-Soon (Chang-Min) Choe, Bo-Duk Jung and brother Soon-Oh Jung. Kwi-Cha was preceded in death by her sisters, Gae-Soon Jung and Gahp-Soon Jung, her mother Wi-Soo Kang and her father, Yi-Hyun Jung.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 26th from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm. The next day, a Funeral Service in memory of Kwi-Cha will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11am with Pastor David Park officiating. Both the Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at the Harry Witzke’s Family Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City. Shortly after the Funeral Service, internment will be at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 2150 Mt. View Rd, Marriottsville. A reception will follow at the Cattail Creek Country Club, 3600 Cattail Creek Dr., Glenwood, from 1-4pm.
