Margaret Ann Miller (nee Yencho), 78, a resident of Ellicott City, Maryland passed away on October 25, 2023, after a long battle with Frontotemperal Dementia (FTD).
Margaret was born on March 31, 1945, to the late John and Mary Yencho in Hempfield, PA. She graduated from Hempfield High School in 1964 and later that year married the late Thomas W. Miller at Holy Family Church in Latrobe, PA. They were married for 54 years until his passing. Margaret was a homemaker and mother to three children, Tom, John and Jeff. She enjoyed traveling, especially to beaches, where she loved to take morning walks and search for seashells. She was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Odenton, MD. for almost 50 years. During this time, she was a member of the Ladies Sodality and the Funeral Reception Ministry, tended the church gardens, and decorated the church for Christmas for many years.
Margaret loved to attend and host tea parties with her friends. She also loved going to auctions and yard sales to collect treasures.
She is survived by her three loving sons, Thomas A. Miller (Natalie), John W. Miller (Katherine) and Jeffrey M. Miller (Theresa); seven cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Sara, William, Ethan, Elizabeth, James, and Joseph, and two precious great-grandchildren, Georgia Grace and Audrey Leigh. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Thomas W. Miller, her parents John and Mary Yencho, and her brother John Yencho.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm at Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home located at 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe, PA. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10 am on Friday, November 3rd, 2023 at Holy Family Church located at 1200 Ligonier Street, Latrobe, PA. Inurnment will be held Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Hastings, PA.
