On Monday June 8, 2020 Maryanne Marvin Nicolai (nee Krygier) died at home at the age of 81, due to complications related to a long battle with pulmonary disease.
Maryanne was born on April 15, 1939 to Edward and Stella Krygier in Buffalo NY, where she grew up and lived until becoming an Air Force wife and mother traveling far and wide. Maryanne was a homemaker who sought employment after her children were all grown. She worked as a teller at Pentagon Federal Credit Union for several years, and as an Executive Assistant at Waste Policy Institute. She made many friends whom she enjoyed spending time with at church and in her community. She loved God, her kids and grandkids, watching birds in the yard, gardening, baking and politics.
Maryanne is survived by her husband Victor Nicolai, ex-husband Kenneth Marvin, her children and their spouses; Kevin and Donna Marvin, Cynthia (Marvin) and Ken Tourison. She was also blessed with 3 grandchildren; Amanda, Alexander and Donovan and 1 great-grandchild, Amelie.
We are grateful and blessed to have had such a loving, giving, wonderful wife and mother who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two older brothers.
There will be no visitation due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
