Maureen A. Wienecke, 79, known for her warmth and the undeniably loving spirit she brought into the world, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, December 3, 2024.
Born on July 3, 1945, in Baltimore was cared for by her mother Mary Kay Conlon and father John W. Allgood, now deceased. Maureen graduated from Seton High School with the class of 1963.
The adored wife, of the late Philip M. Wienecke, Jr. met her love in 1965, and they wed in 1968 at St Dominic Church. In 1977, they moved to Ellicott City, MD where they spent the rest of their happy years together. During the summers, she enjoyed spending time at the beach, crabbing on the bay, and relaxing at their home in West Ocean City, MD.
She was a devoted mother who dedicated her life to caring for her husband and children, always putting their needs first. She became a real estate professional in 1988 and for the next 36 years her passion was helping others. She had a positive impact on people's lives through helping them buy or sell their home.
Maureen will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, daughter Sandra D. Walker her husband Jacob A. Walker and their three kids Asher, Amelia, and Holden, daughter Jennifer L. Wienecke, as well as a son, Jonathan L. Wienecke wife Tricia L. Wienecke and their three kids Desmond, Roman and Elizabeth.
She will be dearly missed by her two sisters, Eileen P. Lane and Mary Kay Allgood. She was predeceased by sibling Kathleen M. Shimkaveg.
The family will accept visitors at the Harry H. Witzke’s Family Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 2 - 4pm and 5 - 7pm. A Memorial Mass will be held in the Church of Resurrection Chapel on Friday, December 13, 2024, beginning at 10am. Reception to follow.
