Melissa Hutchison Obituary

Melissa Marie Hutchison passed away on September 8, 2024 after a heroic fight against Cancer. Melissa was a passionate and creative spirit, known for her love of style, fashion, hair artistry, and cosmetology. Her keen eye for beauty and her dedication to her art enriched the lives of those around her, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was truly a unique soul and there will never be anyone else quite like her.

Melissa’s most notable achievement was the successful business she founded, Gloss Hair Studio. Her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence were evident in every aspect of her business, which became a testament to her talent and dedication.

Throughout her life, Melissa demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience, especially in her courageous battle against her diagnosis. Her determination to overcome the odds, her relentless fight against the disease, and her unwavering spirit should be an inspiration to all. She never lost hope and continued to fight until the very end.

Above all, Melissa's greatest pride was her daughter, Camryn. Her love and support for Camryn was profound, and she cherished every moment they shared together. Their bond was a source of strength and helped her throughout the toughest times and hardest challenges she faced during her treatments. The love Melissa had for Camryn gave her true joy and happiness every day.

Melissa is survived by her daughter, Camryn Oswald. She also leaves behind her mother, Patricia Hutchison, her father, Michael Hutchison (Bettye), her younger sister, Kathleen Kelley (Daniel) and niece Emily, her younger brother, Eric Hutchison (Jessica), and her sweet cat, Sophie. Additionally, she is survived by her extended family, including her grandmother, Eileen Hutchison, and many cousins, uncles, and aunts, as well as many lifelong friends, colleagues, and clients— all of whom she loved dearly. She will be remembered for her unique talent, her resolve, and her ability to inspire others to embrace their own creativity.
