Michael W. Anuszewski Sr. of Ellicott City, husband of the late Barbara Anuszewski, died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday morning, February 4, 2021 at the Gilchrist Hospice Care in Towson, MD.
Michael was the son of the late Walter Anuszewski and Mary Koch of Baltimore, MD. He was predeceased by siblings Marcella Zemanski and Eleanora Anuszewski.
Michael graduated from Patterson High School in 1958 and was an avid lacrosse player during his high school time.
Michael spent 47 years in the Grocery Industry under multiple companies, working his way to Grocery Manager. During this time, he met the love of his life, Barbara. They married in 1961 and began their family before moving to Ellicott City where they raised their six children. Michael and Barbara became parishioners at Our Lady of Perpetual Help where they were active in various church and youth activities. After retiring, Michael enjoyed attending various school and sporting events of his grandchildren with his beloved Barbara before her passing.
Michael is survived by his children, Michael W. Anuszewski Jr. (Peggy), Thomas Anuszewski (Wendy), Elizabeth Petersen (Corby), William Anuszewski (Anna), Patricia Anuszewski, and Gerard Anuszewski (Jenn). Michael is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Corbett, Douglas, Kaitlyn, Ben, Amanda, Bradley, Jennifer, John, Avery and Amelia; and one great grandchild, Beckett.
