Michael Duncan Obituary

Our beloved Michael Duncan passed away at the age of 52 on Sunday July 7th, 2024 after a bout with cancer.

Michael was born to Jean Coleman and Albert Bartlett on March 22, 1972.

He attended the Benedictine School for a short period and at age 21 he became part of the Emerge family. Michael worked at the Emerge Sulphur Springs program where he participated with Meals on wheels, game days and enjoyed time with his coworkers.

Michael lived with his roommates, Van and Leroy, whom he loved to boss around.  He loved to participate in a variety of activities such as bowling, movies, cookouts, dining out, and attending Banquets. Some of his Favorite places were the Dollar Tree and Red Lobster. His favorite movie was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and old Western movies. Mike was a collector of many items. His go to items were DVDs and cell phones.

Michael was a gentle soul. If he said something wrong, he would always come back later and apologize and just thank people for everything they did for him.

As we bid farewell to our beloved friend, we remember all the times he made us smile, all the heartfelt moments, all the times he would thank us for the small things, and all the times he was on our last nerve and later made us laugh about it.
