Michael Kevin Fitzpatrick

Michael Kevin Fitzpatrick, age 54, of Ellicott City, Maryland, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022.

Mike was born at Andrews Air Force Base in 1967. He was the son of the late Kevin A. Fitzpatrick and the late Pauline C. Fitzpatrick. He is survived by his wife Caren and sons Casey, Troy and Tyler; and sisters Kelly Fitzpatrick and Tracy Pirozzi.

Mike was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1989 until 1995, separating as a captain; he was a department chair at the National Intelligence University at the time of his death. He was devoted to teaching and advising his students. He adored his family and was proud of all his sons’ achievements. Mike was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals to please guests. He reveled in his Irish roots; Mike proudly wore his kilt and Irish regalia to the wedding rehearsal dinner the evening before his son Tyler’s wedding to Elizabeth Devine, June 5, 2022. 

A Memorial Mass will be said on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11am at the Church of the Resurrection in Ellicott City. Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date. 

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be sent in Michael’s name to the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA.
