It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michelle Ann Cutick (nee Olive), on Monday, May 19th, 2025.
Born January 25, 1968 in Brooklyn, NY, Michelle was the brightest beacon of light and love to all who knew and loved her, and she will be dearly missed.
Michelle was a passionate, deeply committed wife, mother, sister, daughter and cousin, and a true friend to so many. She adored and gushed endlessly about her sons, Brendan and Sean. She was an avid fitness enthusiast, Orioles and Ravens fan, was very proud of her Irish heritage, and loved her cat Hobbes, and dogs Ginger and Maggie. Michelle loved to walk on the sand at Bethany Beach.
A life-long educator, Michelle taught elementary school students in Howard County for 15 years at the Running Brook and Waterloo Elementary schools, then turned to higher education working at Howard Community College, helping students as a tutor, then a testing specialist, and finally as an admissions coach. She loved her job, her students, and her HCC teammates.
Michelle is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Brian Cutick, sons Brendan and Sean; brother Chuck Olive and his wife Laurie Olive, and their children Kathleen and Carleigh; sister Kerri Levy and her husband Erik Levy and their children Aidan, Brianna, and Jonny; father Charles E Olive, Aunts Maureen Ickrath and her husband Hugh Ickrath, Linda McCubbin; cousins Kristin Krotz and her husband AJ Krotz and their children Danny and Patrick Krotz and his wife Jessica, Hugh Ickrath Jr and his wife Kerry Ickrath, Uncle Jim Dyer and his wife Judy Dyer, and cousins Dan Dyer and Katie Zarzana.
Other mourners include mother-in-law Marilyn Cutick, brothers in law Chet Cutick and his wife Karen Cutick, Todd Cutick and his wife Alina Cutick, and their children Rachel and Maya; and Joshua and Rebecca; and anyone that ever met, learned from, worked with, loved or laughed with Michelle over the course of her bright and joyful life.
She joins her beloved mother, Patricia Olive and grandmother Kathleen Norris in Heaven.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 28th, 2025 at Harry H. Witzke’s Family Funeral Home at 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, Maryland. Doors will be open from 10:30am with service at 11:00am.
Private burial to follow will be for immediate family and closest friends.
