Nicholas Geier Obituary

Nicholas Peter Geier, 91, of Ellicott City, MD passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Sunday February 7, 2021. Born on October 18, 1929 in Baltimore, he was the son of Peter Jacob Geier and Elizabeth Popowitsch Geier. He attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. Nick went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, aboard the USS Luzon. Shortly after his discharge from the Navy, he graduated with a law degree from the University of Baltimore Law School in 1960. He went on to become a Special Agent for the United States Treasury Department. 

 

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Katherine Jane Geier. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Theresa Costley, Thomas & Paula Geier, John Hook, Lynda & Daniel Mules, Joseph & Pamela Geier, James & Elizabeth Geier, and Nicholas Jr. & Brady Geier; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Diane Hook and grandson Terence Costley. Nicholas is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark Church in Catonsville on February 12, 2021 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers the family has asked memorial donations be made to Mount de Sales Academy (700 Academy Rd. Catonsville, MD 21228). Interment is private.
