Patricia McGuire Barry

Patricia McGuire Barry, the wife of the late John Reardon Barry, Jr., died in her sleep on the morning of October 26, 2020, at Heartlands Village in Ellicott City, Maryland.

She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on January 20, 1936, to John William McGuire and Aileen Noonan McGuire, both long deceased. She is survived by her brother, John William McGuire, Jr.

She was raised in Golf, Illinois, and Rye, New York, and attended the College of New Rochelle, Fordham University, and, later, Towson State. She taught kindergarten at the Blessed Sacrament School in New Rochelle and third grade at Resurrection School in Rye.

After marriage, she lived in Baltimore and Towson, Maryland. She and her family moved to Columbia, Maryland, in 1979, and she lived there for almost 40 years.

She is survived by a son, Christopher Gordon Barry, a son, John William Barry, and a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Goff Barry; grandchildren Aislinn Daniela Barry, Aine Patricia Barry, and Eamon Anthony Barry.
