Patricia Lee McGeehan

Patricia “Patty” Lee McGeehan, age 64, of Ellicott City, MD passed away on March 26, 2022 after a battle with breast cancer.

Patty was born on October 12, 1957 to Pauline and Herbert Nase of Telford, PA. After graduating from Souderton Area High School in 1975, she went on to study music education at Lebanon Valley College, graduating in 1979. In 1988 she received her Master’s degree from The Johns Hopkins University in Business Administration.  

After graduation, Patty worked as a music teacher and ultimately moved to Maryland and began work with Maryland National Bank. It was here she met her husband, Vincent “Biff” McGeehan and they wed in 1987. Together they had two daughters, Kristen and Megan, who were fortunate to have their mother home with them full time until they started elementary school. Then, Patty returned to the field of education as a preschool teacher for Glen Mar Preschool and then St. John’s Parish Day School until 2020.  

Patty loved to spend time with her family and friends at the beach, especially enjoying a few Christmases and New Years in the Caribbean and summers at the Jersey Shore. She was a lifelong animal lover and doted on her beloved rescue dogs Max and Molly and grand-dogs Rosie and Charlie.

She is survived by her husband Biff, daughters Kristen and Megan (Jake Lacks), sisters Nancy Cliff (Brian), Dotty Ho (Tom) and Jennifer O’Gara (Gene) and many cherished nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Pauline and Herbert Nase.

A memorial service will be held in Patty’s memory at St. John’s Episcopal Church located at 9140 Frederick Rd, Ellicott City, MD on June 25, 2022 at 11AM with lunch to follow.
