Phyllis Anne Palmieri

Phyllis Anne Palmieri, 87, born in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully into eternity on September 20, 2022.

Phyllis began her career modeling in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She later lived in Syracuse, New York, before settling in Eldersburg, Maryland. She owned the Ceramic Room and was an accomplished artist specializing in ceramics, oil painting and china painting.  Vocationally, Phyllis was a Private Duty Nurse, working for the Baltimore Nurses Exchange, Inc.,

Above all, Phyllis was a loving and devoted mother whose beautiful smile would light up a room.  Her laugh was contagious, she was kind, compassionate, and humble. She loved gardening with an affinity for orchids and African violets, she was very creative, loved to cook and enjoyed maintaining her saltwater fish tanks.

She is survived by her three children, Gilbert J. Palmieri (Mary), John C. Palmieri (Christine), Mary Anne Palmieri-David (Neil); six grandchildren, Erika M. Palmieri, Caleb J. Palmieri (Krista), Hannah K. Palmieri-Yoo (Sung), Abbey A. Palmieri-Rigdon (Kevin), Ava E. Palmieri, Sara Beidler and six great grandchildren, Malachi, Emery, Ezra, Elijah, Benjamin, and Elise. She was preceded in death by Joseph G. Palmieri.  

Family and friends are invited to Phyllis's Memorial Service on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Harry H. Witzke’s Family Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am – 11:30 am with the Memorial Service starting at 11:30 am A private family interment will be held at St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery in Elmira, NY at a later date.
