Phyllis Stiltner Obituary

Phyllis Stiltner, known lovingly to family and friends as Phyllis, passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on September 5, 1948, in Wilmington, Delaware, she lived a life marked by devotion, faith, warmth, style, and a deep love for the people and animals who filled her days.

Phyllis was the kind of person who made others feel cared for and she took great pride in making sure all her loved ones were taken care of. She had a generous heart and a natural instinct to look after everyone around her. Whether she was checking in on a loved one, offering a kind word, or making sure everyone was comfortable and included, she did so with sincerity and grace. Her family knew her as someone who always showed up, and her presence brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of home.

She was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Luke Prucino Sr., her beloved husband, Woody Stiltner, her sister, Joanne Reimer, and her brother Luke Prucino. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life. She carried her love for them quietly and faithfully, keeping their place in her family story with tenderness and respect.

Phyllis is survived by her sister, Sharon and her husband Greg; their children, Lauren, Megan, and Zachary; her nieces, Tina, Bernadette and Kim; her brothers, Franny and Larry; her brother Larry’s wife, Jean; and their children, Tori, Elizabeth, and Cathy. She also leaves behind her cherished great-nieces and great-nephews, Payton, Morgan, Ashten, Madison, Riley, Sterling, Liam, Jackson, Wynter, and Soren. Phyllis was also close with her beloved husband’s (Woody) daughters Becky and Anne. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she took great pride in her family and the many connections that made her life so meaningful.

Those who knew Phyllis will remember her love of cats, her appreciation for family, and the care she gave so freely to others. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and embraced them fully. She shared a love for golf with her husband Woody as well as the beach, where she could enjoy the beauty of the day and the peace that came with time spent in familiar, favorite places. She also enjoyed her wine and the pleasure of good company, conversation, and relaxing moments shared with those she loved.

Phyllis had a wonderful sense of style and never missed an opportunity to make a fashion statement. She carried herself with confidence and flair, and her personal style reflected the vibrant spirit that so many admired. She understood that appearance could be an expression of personality, and she wore that truth well. Her elegance and charm were part of what made her unforgettable.
