Raymond Floyd Bassler, Jr. died peacefully on Sunday, November 1st, 2020 at his home in Ellicott City, MD.

Raymond Bassler grew up near Catonsville into a family of golfers at Rolling Road Golf Course. His father and other family members are prominently noted for winning tournaments.

Raymond Bassler graduated from UMBC with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology yet worked most of his career in computer sciences and IT. He worked through various companies including Westinghouse, Unisys, and Oracle. He was the owner and CTO of BCANetwork, LLC, an IT consulting company. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, music, and tinkering with electronics.

He is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Uhl, and two sons, Michael Bassler and Steven Bassler.
