Raymond Alfred Brookhart, Jr.

July 9, 1933 ~ April 25, 2022 (age 88)


Raymond Brookhart, Jr. died April 25, 2022 at his home in Marriottsville, MD.  He is survived by his wife Barbara for 64 years and his 3 children, Mark, David, and Kelle.  

After graduation from City High School, he joined the United States Army.  After serving in the army, Raymond went to University of Baltimore College and received a Bachelors Degree in Business.  He then went to work at Loyal Federal Savings & Loan for 30 years.  In 1977, he was elected Vice President of the Customer Service Department.  After, he went to BG&E in their  Customer Service Department.   At age 70, he went to work at Home Depot for 12 years.  

In 1969, Raymond coached the first little league football team in Howard County.  His team, the Falcons, won the first championship that year.  He coached the team for 4 years until both of his sons entered Mt. Hebron High School, where they played football.  After that, he coached his daughters little league girls baseball team. 

Raymond and his son David, road bikes and joined the 100 mile race at Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD. for Multiple Sclerosis for 5 years.  He later joined the YMCA in Ellicott City where he worked out everyday until 2 weeks before he passed away.
