Rebecca Morton Obituary

Becky Morton, 54, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, teacher, and friend, died on May 20, 2024 of cardiac arrest (a blood clot in her heart) after major surgery to remove cancer.

Becky was born October 29, 1969, in Norwich Connecticut to her loving parents, Arnold and Carolyn Ensfield. She began following Jesus at Forest Home, a Christian family camp in California, when she was seven years old and has been loving God faithfully since.

She graduated from Marshall High School in 1987. In 1991, Becky graduated from Grove City College. She married Kendall, the love of her life, in 1992. In some ways, Kendall feels that their honeymoon stage just ended. Their marriage displayed the welcoming love of Christ. As a teacher, she loved educating her students, but her true delight came from raising her four children: Katrina, Caleb, Lydia, and Luke. Becky felt it was a privilege to be their mom and thanked God for her role in their lives. She loved their dancing and music. They are deeply grateful for her love.

She lived a life of faith, joy, grace, kindness, and strength. Becky loved her nine-year role at Granite Classical Tutorials as administrator, especially as she disciplined children by preaching the Gospel.  Columbia Presbyterian Church has been another source of life for her and the Morton family for the past 29 years.

Her life was a testimony of God’s faithfulness and presence. We all know God better because of her. Even as we grieve her sudden death, we celebrate that she is no longer in pain and she is with Jesus.
