On February 8, 2025, RONALD A. GILROY, beloved husband of Cynthia Z. Gilroy (nee Harbaugh); devoted father of Ron Gilroy, MD (Naisa Gilroy) of FL, Robin Benjamin of NH, Dan Gilroy (Donna Gilroy) of VA and step-father of Valerie Pressel (Michael Pressel, MD) of MD and Victoria McMullen of TX; adoring grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren; cherished great-grandfather of 2 great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandchild. Also survived by many loving family and friends.
Ron was born in Boston, MA and attended Boston University where he received his Masters Degree. He became interested in antique clocks in Dallas, TX and ultimately opened his own repair business. He spent the latter years enjoying 6 months in North Palm Beach, FL.
The family will receive visitors on Friday from 4pm-6pm at HARRY H. WITZKE'S FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Saturday at 11am at the Chapel at Church of the Resurrection in Ellicott City, MD and the Interment will immediately follow at St. John's Cemetery in Ellicott City, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's memory to St. Joseph's Monastery, 3801 Old Frederick Rd, Baltimore, MD 21229.
