Celebration of Life for Rosalie Bell Anderson

Rosalie Bell Anderson was born on January 24, 1941 in Howard County, MD to William and Catherine Bell. She departed this life on Monday, November 16, 2020 at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia MD. She was affectionately known as Rosie, Peanut, and Mackie.

She was educated in the Howard County Public School System and graduated with her GED from Howard Community College in 1993. She was a hardworking woman and retired from the Howard County Public School System in 2006.

Rosie was a devoted member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Clarksville, MD and always looked forward to volunteering at the Annual Clarksville Picnic. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, completing puzzles, holding conversations on the phone and playing cards. She also enjoyed serving others and often volunteered at the Food Bank. She most enjoyed her role as “GG” to her great grandchildren.

Rosie leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband Vernon Anderson; her four children Vernon Bell, Brenda Anderson, Donna Kelly (Bernard), and Loretta Jean Anderson (Butch); her siblings Benjamin Bell Sr., Ada Williams, Joan Cook (Charles), and Hattie Bell; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She had a special relationship with her cousins Catherine Dent, Mary Estep, and Christine Jones.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents William and Catherine Bell, her brother William Bell Jr, her sister Doris Scott, and her two granddaughters Taneysa and Denean Kelly.
