Rosemary Aloi Obituary

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Rosemary Ann Aloi, age 94, of Ellicott City, Maryland, who peacefully left this world on March 13, 2025, in the comfort of her home. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the beloved daughter of the late Nicola and Anna Scampoli.

Rosemary’s journey in life was one of deep love and devotion. She met the love of her life, Demetrio Francis Aloi, in the close-knit neighborhood on K Street in Washington, D.C. Their love blossomed into a beautiful marriage, and together they began a family, eventually settling in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Rosemary’s heart was full of love for her family, and her home was always open with warmth, care, and laughter. Rosemary was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Demetrio, her dear daughters, Cynthia Marie Pisciotta and Teresa Aloi Angle, and her beloved sister, Natalina Scampoli Kolley. She is survived by her devoted son, James Nicolas Aloi and his wife, Stephanie; her daughter, Anna Aloi; her sons-in-law, James Pisciotta and Dr. J. Scott Angle; as well as  eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored.

As we say goodbye to our beloved mother and Nonna, we take comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind. Her life was one of unwavering faith, love, and devotion to God and her family. Rosemary’s quiet strength and steadfast belief carried her through every season of life, and her actions spoke volumes, far beyond any words could express. Her prayers, her endless kindness to others, and the countless sacrifices she made for her family serve as lasting reminders of her boundless love. Through her, we learned the importance of compassion, humility, and staying rooted in faith. Rosemary’s legacy is one of warmth, wisdom, and an enduring love that will always be remembered. We are forever grateful for the example she set for us all. Although we will miss her deeply, we find peace in knowing that Rosemary is now resting in the eternal arms of the Lord she so faithfully loved. Her spirit will continue to guide us, and we will carry her love in our hearts forever. May she rest in the eternal peace and love of our Lord.
