Ruth Joyce Phillips-Kane

Ruth Joyce Phillips-Kane, age 83 of Catonsville, Maryland went home to join her Lord and her loved ones on October 8, 2024.

Born January 3, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland, "Joyce", as she was known to her family and friends, had a very full life. She married her second love Dale Kane on November 12, 2011.

Joyce was a retired legal secretary working for many different firms, ending her work life at Constellation Energy/BGE. Her life will be remembered as a loving person that loved animals as much as she did people!

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Elsie Ruth Dadd, husband, Charles A. Phillips Sr., and son, Charles A. Phillips Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Devlin (Glenn McGuirk), son, James Phillips (Linda), and daughter-in-law, Kimberly Phillips. She was Mom-Mom to her grandchildren, Kenny Grab (Liz), Stephen Grab (Elizabeth), Ashley Kinniry (Jimmy) and Casey Phillips (Niki). GiGi was loved by her great-grandchildren, Faith, Dominic, Joseph, Samantha, Tessa, Kenley, Claude, Dylan, Emma, Charli and Scotti.

A visitation will be held at Harry H. Witzke’s Family Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD from 2:00pm-4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Monday, October 21, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at the same location on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 11 AM.
