Sara Sussman Bohlayer passed away Wednesday March 18th after two years of living with metastatic melanoma. She remained optimistic throughout her entire journey and fought until the very end.
She was born in Rockaway, NJ and lived in White Meadow Lake. She loved gymnastics, basketball, bike riding, rollerblading, and went to Camp White Meadow with some of her best friends. Sara attended Stony Brook Elementary School and played the flute.
At age 12 Sara moved to Glen Mills, Pennsylvania. She loved dance class, cheerleading, baking and going to concerts with her friends. She graduated from Garnet Valley High School in 2004.
Sara studied History and French at Towson University, graduating in 2008. She then earned her law degree from the University of Baltimore. While living in Baltimore she met the love of her life, Brian Bohlayer. The two were married in 2012 and settled with their two children in Eldersburg, MD. Sara loved playing with her kids, sharing her love of music with them, and became quite a soccer fan through her kids’ love of the sport.
She is survived by her husband, Brian and children Caroline(10) and Peter(7); parents Eric and Debi Sussman, brother Sam and Nicole Sussman; nieces Layla and Alaina; Mother-in-Law Linda Bohlayer, Sister-in-Law Lisa and Alexander Wissel; nephews Jackson and AJ; along with countless other friends and loved ones who will miss her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the AIM at Melanoma Foundation or the Melanoma Research Foundation.
