Sebastian Anthony Cianciolo

Sebastian Anthony Cianciolo, a man of unwavering faith and boundless adventure, was called home to the Lord on November 26, 2025, at the age of 75. Born in the picturesque town of Nicolosi, Sicily, Italy, on June 10, 1950, Sebastian's journey of life took him across the ocean to Baltimore, MD, where he spent his final moments surrounded by the love of his family. He was the son of Philip and Maria Cianciolo and was  known affectionately to some as "Nuccio" lived a life that exemplified the Christian virtues of kindness, generosity, and courage. He was a beacon of light to his beloved wife, Maria "Richie" Cianciolo, and a guiding star to his children, Maria, Joshua, Jordan, Justin, and his stepsons, Paul, Jon, and Pierce. His siblings, Lorenza Sandusky, (married to Tom), and Anthony Cianciolo (married to Marie) will remember him as a brother who walked through life with an open heart and a ready smile.  He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He had a distinguished career as a Senior Project Manager in Construction Management. Sebastian's professional life was marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for mentorship, inspiring many to reach new heights in their own careers.  He honed his expertise at Harkins Builders for many years.  He joined Struever Brothers and ended his illustrious career at Southway Builders, leaving his  signature on many commercial and residential structures in the DMV area.

Sebastian's personal life was a testament to his adventurous spirit. As an avid cyclist, mountain biker, and hiker, he embraced the beauty of God's creation with every step and pedal. His enthusiasm for the great outdoors was infectious, and he often reminded those around him that "The glory of God is a human being fully alive," a quote attributed to St. Irenaeus that Sebastian lived by every day.

Sebastian's legacy is one of love and laughter.  He was the embodiment of a faith-filled life, pouring himself into every encounter and leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met.   His garage was equipped with every kind of tool to build, repair, fix, assemble, move or create anything, as he was everyone's handyman.  His kind heart and generous soul will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know him.

In his faith, Sebastian found the strength to face stage 4 metastatic lung cancer with grace and dignity. His relationship with Christ was the cornerstone of his existence, and it gave him the fortitude to navigate the challenges of life with unwavering hope.

As we bid farewell to Sebastian, we take solace in knowing that his journey continues in the presence of our Savior. His life was a beautiful reflection of the scriptural teaching, "Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your master" (Matthew 25:21). Sebastian's memory will forever be cherished as a treasure in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his extraordinary spirit.

Rest in peace, dear Sebastian, until we meet again on the eternal shores of Heaven's embrace.
