Stephanie Ridenour Resetar Obituary

Stephanie Paige Resetar, wife of David Resetar, died at home in Ellicott City, MD surrounded by her husband and three children on November 28, 2024, after a courageous battle with ovarian/peritoneal carcinomatosis.  She was born in Hagerstown, MD, on May 4, 1967.  Stephanie is the daughter of A. Wells and Karen C. Ridenour of Boonsboro, MD. 

She is survived by son Christopher Resetar, future daughter-in-law Teresa Dierks, son Andrew Resetar, daughter-in-law Haleigh Resetar and daughter Caroline Resetar.  In addition, she is survived by her beloved sister Alison Ridenour and brother-in-law Jerzy Kornilow. In-laws Janet and Peter Resetar, brother-in-law Daniel Resetar, sister-in-law Amy Resetar, brother-in-law Michael Resetar, sister-in-law Joyce Abbott, and brother-in-law Bruce Abbott.  Nephews and Nieces, Jacob and Nicholas Kornilow, Megan and Annie Resetar, Timothy Abbott, and Emily and Chris Gibson. Other treasured family members include David Ridenour, Dorothy DiPoli, Maurice DiPoli, Kimberly Ridenour, LoriBeth Martin, Kenlin Martin, Michael DiPoli, Eileen DiPoli, Ann Marie DiPoli, and Mackenzie Ridenour.  She is pre-deceased by her Aunt Sylvia Ridenour, Grandparents Andrew and Dorthy Ridenour and William and Josephine Coss.

Stephanie was a 1985 graduate of Boonsboro High School, a 1989 and a 1997 graduate of the College of Notre Dame of Maryland.  She earned her CPA in 1992.  She was a 33 -year employee of Sinai Hospital/ LifeBridge Health of Baltimore, where she made life-long friends.  Her Family wanted to include all her accolades – but in true Stephanie fashion, she said “no”. 

She would like friends, neighbors and the RSPS families for their caring support and friendship, not just through this difficult journey, but throughout her life.

Stephanie was able to find peace visiting the Seton Shrine and Longwood Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in her memory to these places that were dear to her.
