On October 15, 2020 Steven A. Meyer. Devoted partner of John Genoa
Jr., together for thirty-seven years. Loving brother of Terry Meyer and
Patricia Wasson. Loving brother-in-law of Lynn Wood and Howard
Wasson, and Uncle to Paul J. Meyer. He was preceded in death by his
parents, Irwin J. Meyer and Mary A. Meyer, and his brother Paul I.
Meyer. Steve is also survived by his Aunt, Mae N. Rosensteel, and many
loving cousins, extended family, and friends.

Steve grew up in Carroll County Maryland. He was a graduate of Francis
Scott Key High School (Union Bridge, Maryland); and after high school
served his country in the United States Army.

He loved to kayak, go antiquing, and spend time with friends and
family. He had a broad smile and a great sense of humor; and was a
wonderful uncle to his furry nieces and nephews.

Steve was a “people person”. He had a generous heart, was caring and
loving; and a friend to all who met him. He worked at Boscov’s in White
Marsh, where many of his colleagues were his extended family.

Steve was an active member of Boumi Shriners International; and a
twenty-five year member of Palestine Lodge #189, Catonsville,
Maryland. He was a member of Quetzalcoatl, Past Camaxtli, and a
member of the OKETS. He was Imperial Aid 2004-2005 to Imperial Sir
Raoul L. Frevel, and an active member of the Masonic and Shrine
Organization. He also served as chairman on various committees and
events. Steve dedicated himself to the charitable work of the Shriners,
and was loved by many.

Steve’s loving spirit will continue to shine, and his loving memory will
always be carried in our hearts.

A memorial service is being planned and details will be posted here when finalized.
