Theresa Coyle Proctor, a shining embodiment of love, kindness, and selflessness, passed away peacefully from natural causes on January 9, 2025, in Columbia, Maryland. Born on November 18, 1955, in Savannah, Georgia, Theresa’s life was a testament to the profound impact of compassion and devotion.

Theresa’s greatest joy was her family. She shared an enduring partnership of nearly 49 years with her beloved husband, Steven Proctor. Together, they raised three children who carry forward her legacy of love and generosity: Katie Clemens (Jeff), Michael Proctor (Erica), and Thomas Proctor (Mollie). Her devotion extended to her cherished grandchildren—Kira Clemens, Lucas Clemens, and Aria Proctor—who will forever remember her warmth and affection. She also leaves behind her sister, Denise Kerley (Kevin), and brother, Steve Coyle, who held a special place in her heart.

Within the banking industry, Theresa was a valued and respected colleague, dedicating more than 50 years to a career marked by excellence and integrity. Beyond her professional achievements, she was known for her boundless enthusiasm for Disney, a passion she delighted in sharing with her family. The magic she found in those moments mirrored the joy she brought to those around her.

Theresa’s departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her. Her unwavering kindness, thoughtful presence, and devotion to her family made her a cherished friend, mentor, and confidant. While her absence will be deeply felt, the memories she created and the love she radiated will remain a source of comfort and inspiration for generations to come.

The family will receive friends at Harry H. Witzke's Family Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike Ellicott City, MD 21043 on Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be said on Friday at 12:00 pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 4795 Ilchester Road, Ellicott City, MD 21043. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
