Thomas Mascio Obituary

On February 5, 2021,Thomas Mascio passed at Heartlands at Ellicott City. He was born March 7, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph and Carmella Mascio. After high school, he joined the United States Navy on January 2, 1941 and served in the Pacific Theater on the USS Ericsson and the USS Paul Hamilton. He was honorably discharged on March 8, 1946. After moving to Maryland, he was accepted to the DC Metropolitan Police Department and later transferred to the White House Police reaching the rank of lieutenant and retiring in 1972. 

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Serafina, his sister, Jean Barbuto and his daughter, Roseann Held. He is survived by his brother, Lawrence Mascio; his children, Mildred Detwiler, Camillo Mascio and James Held; his grandchildren, Angela Zamora (Andy), Michael Detwiler, Christopher Held (Melissa), Steven Held (Whitney), Joseph Mascio, Thomas Mascio 
(Kristen), Kelli Powell (Alan) and ten great grandchildren.
