Vance E. Scott, III

Vance Edison Scott III was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, June 14, 1955 to the late Gladys S. and Vance E. Scott Jr. He was called to rest on Friday, November 1, 2024 in Columbia Maryland.

Vance was very devoted to his entire family and loved each of them to the ends of the earth. You could not ask for a better friend, he would stick with you for a lifetime through thick and thin. Vance enriched every life he touched either through his constant kindness or his unending stories.

He is survived by his beloved wife Michelle, his daughter Akira, son Vance IV, and his sister Lowanda.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at Harry H. Witzke Funeral Home 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City MD 21043.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St Johns the Evangelist Catholic Church, 10431 Twin Rivers Road, Columbia MD 21044 on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 12 noon. Livestream 

Interment will be at the Serenity Ridge Natural Burial Cemetery and Arboretum 2406 Ridge Road, Windsor Mill, MD 21244.

Repast to follow the service at Owen Brown Interfaith Center 7246 Cradlerock Way, Columbia MD 21045 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
