Vincent Joseph DiLosa

Vincent Joseph DiLosa passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025 at the age of 91 years. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years, Lois. He is survived by his three children Vincent DiLosa (Rose), Carol Cordrey (Duane) and Susan Schneider (John) and six grandchildren – Andrew, Nicholas, Joseph, Adam, Elisabeth and Braden.

He was born January 21, 1934 in New Orleans, Louisiana where he developed a lifelong love for trains and became an avid collector. He attended Jesuit High School graduating in 1952. He then attended Loyola University New Orleans, graduating in 1956 with a degree in Physics. He moved to the Washington D.C. area where he met his beloved wife, Lois. They were married at Blessed Sacrament Church on January 21, 1961, which was also his birthday. The family resided in Silver Spring, MD for many years. He worked as an Electrical Engineer at NASA for 25 years. There, he obtained a patent – Diversity Receiving System with Diversity Phase-Lock which was used on the Apollo Mission. After retiring from NASA in 1984, he was employed at Bendix for an additional 13 years finally retiring in January of 1998.

In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and listening to classical music. Vince was a gentle, kind husband, father and grandfather and will be forever in our hearts.
