On August 9, after a long battle with cancer, William "Bill" Anderson, of Ellicott City, MD passed away at his home at the age of 73. Bill retired from the Social Security Administration (SSA) in 2004, with over 26 years of service. He spent most of his carreer working with SSA's Disability Program and retired as the Director of the Office of Medical Policy. He loved working and was well respected by his colleagues.
Bill enjoyed retirement; he never tired of doing the things he loved. He and Bobbie traveled all over the world. When he wasn't traveling, he enjoyed bike riding, tennis, basking on the beach, and spending time with Bobbie and his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband and a great friend. We will miss him every day.
Bill was the beloved and cherished husband of Bobbie Yates; father of Angela Anderson, Jennifer Greenberg and her husband Mike, and Scott Anderson; grandfather of Hunter Anderson, Ashley O'Brien and her husband Ryder, Laela Greenberg, and Calleigh Greenberg; great grandfather of Addi and Lyla O'Brien; brother of Rachel Howard, Jody Danenberger, and the late Betsy Anderson; uncle to his nieces and nephews.
