William L. McCauley

William Lee McCauley (Bill), husband of wife Janice Wilson McCauley (deceased), died peacefully on Friday March 24th, 2023 surrounded by family.

He was the son of Edmond Charles McCauley and Alice Schulke McCauley, and brother of Charles McCauley.

Bill attended the University of Delaware and served in the Army National Guard. Bill and Janice began their married life in Falls Church VA and then moved to Washington DC where they welcomed their two sons, Dean and Kevin. In 1972, they settled in Allview Estates near Columbia, Maryland where they lived for over 20 years. Most recently, Bill was a resident of Brightview Senior Living Community and he truly enjoyed being surrounded by so many good friends and the Brightview family. Bill worked in the commercial lighting industry as a partner of Chesapeake Lighting Inc.

Bill is survived by sons Dean and Kevin McCauley, daughter-in-laws Kim and Paula, and grandchildren Tyler, Emily, Katherine, Cian, and Roan. He was loved and cherished by all that knew him.

Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service with Military Honors on Monday, April 3rd, 11am at Columbia Memorial Gardens, 12005 Clarksville Pike in Clarksville. A lunch will follow at Brightview Senior Living Community in the upstairs area, 6670 Martin Rd, Columbia, MD 21044.
